This product is an HO scale model of the square oil tank, 3D printed in black resin, that was retro-fitted to some coal-burning examples of Victorian Railways A2 Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive to convert them to burn oil. The oil tank model was specifically developed to fit the coal tender of the HO scale A2 locomotive manufactured by Ixion Model Railways. It is prototypically correct for Ixion’s models of A2 944, A2 955 and A2 996. After a straightforward modification to the front of the tender, the oil tank simply drops into the coal space.

This product comprises 24 full-colour 3D-printed ‘blocks’ of sheep specifically developed to fit the Victorian Railways HO scale LF/VSAY bogie sheep wagon made by Ixion Model Railways, as shown in the pictures. Each set contains 20 blocks with the centre sheep missing, and 4 ‘full’ blocks of 8 sheep designed to be placed last into the four end compartments. The sheep are a realistic ‘dusty paddock’ cream colour, and the bases are an oxide red which matches the floor of the wagon and thus ‘disappears’ visually.
The blocks are sized so as to be placed in through the open doors of the wagon using tweezers, and then carefully slid along the compartment to make room for the next block. Three blocks are required per compartment, and there are eight compartments per wagon: a total of 24 blocks per wagon.
The blocks with incomplete centres are included to reduce material usage – they are only seen from the side. Detailed instructions for fitting the sheep can be found at http://www.westedge3d.com.au/resources

This sale is of two 3D-printable STL files for ‘blocks’ of sheep to fit the Ixion Model Railways Victorian Railways HO scale LF bogie sheep wagon as shown in the screenshot pictures. These files (13MB) will be delivered electronically by email after purchase, so you must include a valid email address for delivery.
The files are best printed on desktop resin 3D printers. They are unlikely to print successfully on FDM (filament) printers due to the fine detail included.
